What is auSud?

auSud is an advertising platform for real estate in France. The aim of the website is to offer an overview of properties for sale in the South of France, with the option of carrying out the search in English. Estate agents affiliated with auSud make their portfolio of houses (or at least some of it) available on the website. This is done through a direct and fully automated link with their own estate agency systems. The offers are updated daily, meaning they are always up-to-date and the chances you will come across a house that has since been sold is small.

Is auSud an estate agency?

No, auSud is not an estate agency itself and therefore won’t be involved in any potential sales. We ensure that you are brought into contact with a reliable estate agent. We do want communication to go smoothly; therefore we ask you to always contact us if, for example, the estate agent is unresponsive to a query.

Many estate agents who have advertised their properties on auSud have an international outlook and speak good English. There are in fact also many houses on auSud advertised by British estate agents. You can always submit your query in English, we normally verify that the query is logical to understand for an estate agent and if necessary we translate the query ourselves. If you are really interested in a house for sale that is advertised by a French-speaking estate agent, and it turns out that you are struggling in French, then you can always contact us. We can then ensure that you are also brought into contact with a English-speaking purchasing agent.

What should I do if I have found a house and I want more information?

You can always click on the Contact agent button (listed in the detail section of a house). Here you can leave your details, so that the estate agent can contact you. You don’t have to leave your phone number, but if you do, please ensure you have listed the country calling code (for example +44). Such a request for information will not create any obligations on your part. You may for example want to ask if there are more photos available or maybe a map.

I’m not sure what I’m looking for exactly, can I run a search?

Yes, you can! You can run a search by clicking here. You then leave your contact details and your search criteria. You can also indicate if you wish to be contacted by estate agents; in this case, place a cross in the relevant selection boxes and the estate agents will help you in your search. If you do not wish to be contacted by estate agents you can also indicate this; in this case, you will receive an email every 2 weeks listing the latest available houses that match your criteria. Please note: in this case, you will only receive information about houses listed by auSud. By running a search you can receive information about other houses, that an estate agent may for example wish to sell in collaboration with another agent, and that isn’t listed on auSud. Running a search is the best way to find a house. The more specific the search is, the greater your chance of success!
